ARTIST — classical, electronic

DiMaio is the first Italian countertenor to re-interpret the most important songs of the opera repertoire mixing them with the European electronic sounds and imagery.
DiMaio has an ambitious but very innovative and unique goal: to interpret the opera repertoire masterpieces, real works of art among which the ones by Vivaldi, Handel and other composers, using a soprano voice, a rare and evocative technique that was used between the late sixteenth and the eighteenth century. The peculiarity of the project is undoubtedly the vocal style but also the choice of arrangements and production curated by Dario Faini (aka Dardust), known as one of the first Italian neo-classic pianists and composers that combines piano and electronic minimalism.
