Michael Vaiasinni, also known as Michael Leonardi (his mother’s maiden name), was born in Sydney, Australia, in 1990 from Sicilian parents. He started his career as a tenor when he was merely 15 years old, making his début as one of the main characters in the musical “Les Miserables” while studying at Sydney’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
Michael then completed his musical education by studying singing at Sydney’s AMusA and honing his craft with well-known artists such as Glenn Wynslade, Norma Fantini and Rockwell Blake. In 2008 he graduated from Sydney’s prestigious “Talent Development Project”.
